Preparing For Your School and Youth Group Tour
Our trained historical interpreters present an interactive program at levels that are developmentally appropriate for your students. The resources in this section will help you prepare for your Colonial Williamsburg School Group Tour.

Lesson Plans
Lesson plans familiarize students with the people and issues of 18th-century Williamsburg. The interdisciplinary plans provide a thought-provoking introduction to the lives and interests of the people that students will meet during their Colonial Williamsburg visit.

Teacher Resources
Colonial Williamsburg provides extensive resources for teachers, schools, and students across the nation, sharing our early American history resources and methods. Many of our services are free. Programs and products for teachers are subsidized by endowments and sponsorships. Major financial support comes from the DeWitt Wallace Trust for Colonial Williamsburg, the Bill and Gretchen Kimball Young Patriots Fund, and others.
